So your just about to grill up some steaks and you dont want to burn them but the recipe says to cook them on high. Well let me tell you something, DONT! The thicker the steak the more likely you are to burn it before its done. I have done some extensive research on the matter and I have decided that the best way to grill ANYTHING is on the low setting. Low and slow, thats the best way to cook. If your recipe says to cook on high for 6 minutes each side then cook on low for 12 minutes each side. Give your meat a feel before you take it off the grill, if its really soft then leave it back on for a little while and if its hard then pull it and enjoy!
Personally, I like to cook everything on low, if its a hamburger ill do 6 minutes a side and I flip them twice. For steaks up to an inch I usually cook them for 10 to 12 minutes a side and depending on how done I want them I may flip them twice as well. Yes, it does take longer to cook but thats a small price to pay for saving propane and enjoying a great meal!
Sudden Clarity
The reason I decided to make this blog was because all of my life I have had sudden moments of clarity where after realizing that something amazing had just happened I believed everyone already knew. This is a way for me to make sure everyone knows what I know!
